Liverpool have been tipped to be interested in Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

However, Barton believes that the Chilean is far more likely to end up at Manchester City than Anfield.
“Surely he won’t go there though,” Barton said. “Surely he’s going City, he’s not going to go to Liverpool.”

Liverpool have plenty of money to spend in January, following the sale of Coutinho to Barcelona, but where they will invest the money remains to be seen.
Sanchez’s contract at Arsenal is set to expire at the end of the season, and it does not seem that he is likely to pen a new deal any time soon.

Arsenal now realise that this could be their last chance to cash in on Sanchez, which could make a move in January possible for the attacker.
If Liverpool were to sign Sanchez it would be an impressive show of ambition from Jurgen Klopp’s side.
However, Sanchez has already been linked with a move to City, and that switch may be more likely, as Pep Guardiola’s men are seemingly set to win the Premier League title this season.
