Newcastle United have lost their opening two Premier League games of the season so far.
Newcastle manager Benitez recently told Sky Sports that he does not expect the club to find it easy to sign players in the summer transfer window.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea boss has also been quoted as saying by The Mirror that the Magpies are not yet ready for the Premier League.
Former Newcastle midfielder Barton has said that Benitez needs to stop moaning and just deal with the situation as it is.

“They do need some investment,” Barton told talkSPORT about Newcastle. “When you come up, you do need investment, but there is also a case that Benitez needs to get on with it.
“You’ve got what you’ve got. OK, you maybe need to keep it private in terms of [asking] can we get bodies in, but he’s getting paid an awful lot of money, so coach what you’ve got in front of you.
“It doesn’t help when the manager is out there moaning, saying he’s not happy with the situation. That definitely festers out on the pitch.
“If you’re a player and you hear the manager moaning about investment it doesn’t inspire confidence because he’s saying they’re not good enough.”

Newcastle’s summer activity so far has been quite underwhelming, and their start to the 2017-18 Premier League campaign has also been hugely disappointing.
The Magpies lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park on the opening weekend of the season and went down 1-0 to Huddersfield Town away from home on Sunday afternoon.
While it is clear that Newcastle need to make more signings between now and the end of the summer transfer window, Benitez simply has to work with the players he has got at the moment.
