Liverpool failed to win against Burnley at Anfield in the Premier League at the weekend.

Liverpool’s disappointing run of form continued at the weekend, as they failed to win against Burnley at home in the Premier League.
The Reds played out 1-1 draw with the Clarets at Anfield on Saturday afternoon, having had to come from behind to pick up a point.
Philippe Coutinho featured in the match for the Reds. The attacking midfielder started the game and played for 78 minutes.
Former Rangers and Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has given his verdict on the performance of Coutinho for Liverpool against Burnley at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

“I thought he was excellent in the game on Saturday, I thought, until he ran out of steam, which was probably the last 20 minutes,” said Barton about Coutinho on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, September 18, 2017). “He was head and shoulders the best player on the park.”

The match against Burnley was Coutinho’s first Premier League appearance of the season, and there is still more to come from the Brazil international.
The former Inter Milan youngster, who can also operate as a winger, is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and will be key in the Reds’ quest to finish in the top four yet again this season.
