West Bromwich Albion are set to appoint Alan Pardew in the near future.

Pardew is expected to take over at the Hawthorns in the near future, with the Baggies making a swift replacement for Tony Pulis.
And Barton is expecting West Brom to make an improvement under Pardew’s leadership.

The former Burnley midfielder said: “I think Pardew will do a good job. He’s a better manager than he gets credit for. I think it’s a shrewd appointment.”
West Brom have been in abject form of late, with a run of four straight defeats ultimately proving costly for Pulis.
The Baggies did manage to hold on for a draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley though, which gives them some momentum.

Pardew could be in charge for West Brom’s next match, which comes against Newcastle United tomorrow evening.
If Albion are able to beat Rafael Benitez’s side they will put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone, with the Midlands side currently in 17th place in the Premier League table.
