Will Tottenham Hotspur finish in the top four of the Premier League this season?

Joey Barton said on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (8:12am, January 22, 2018) that Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

The former Newcastle United and Rangers midfielder believes that if there are no injuries to star striker Harry Kane or midfielder Dele Alli, then Spurs will end up fourth.

“I think all being well, barring any injuries to Alli and Kane, I think Spurs will sneak into fourth spot,” said Barton on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (8:12am, January 22, 2018).

Tottenham have finished in the top four for the past two seasons, and actually went close to winning the Premier League title in both of the last two campaigns.

Manchester City look set to clinch the title this season, but Spurs are very much in the running for the Champions League places.

There have been instances this season when Tottenham have dropped points they should not have, but there is a long way to go this season.

With the likes of Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela now back to full fitness and back in action, Tottenham fans should be optimistic that the club will play in the Champions League for the third season in a row.
