Theo Walcott is reportedly on the verge of joining Everton from Arsenal in the January transfer window.

According to BBC Sport, Everton are interested in securing the services of the former Southampton star this month.
It has been reported that the 28-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, is having a medical at the Merseyside outfit.

It has also been reported that the Toffees will have to pay the Gunners a transfer fee of more than £20 million in order to secure the services of the England international.
Former Manchester City and Queens Park Rangers midfielder Barton has given his take on Walcott’s reported move from Arsenal to Everton.

Barton said on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (7:15am, January 15, 2018): “My concern as an Evertonian would be how many games he is fit for. He can’t get into this Arsenal side, which is poor. Why should Everton sign him?”
Walcott has struggled for playing time at Arsenal, and his progress at the Gunners over the past few years has also been stunted.
There is no doubt that the former Southampton star has quality and a lot of pace, and perhaps Everton manager Sam Allardyce can bring the best out of him.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has told BT Sport about Walcott: “I think a manager like Allardyce, you can see he has got the confidence and the belief in him. He needs someone like that in his career right at this moment.”
