Leeds United defender Lewie Coyle is reportedly set to remain out on loan for the rest of the campaign.

Coyle has spent the first half of the campaign with the Cod Army and has been a key player for Barton, making 27 appearances for the club in all competitions.
The Blackpool Gazette suggests that Leeds are set to allow Coyle to remain at Highbury Stadium for the rest of the season, with an extension being discussed by the two clubs.
And Barton has confirmed that he is expecting the loan extension to be agreed without too much of a problem, adding that the right-back is keen to stay at Fleetwood for the remainder of the season.

“I think Coyley is virtually done,” he said, as reported by the Blackpool Gazette. “He has been playing for us, enjoying his football here, is a massive part of the team.
“In the dressing room he is a great lad, a great character and wants to stay.”
It will be interesting to know how tempted Marcelo Bielsa was to bring the 23-year-old back to Elland Road when his initial loan deal expired.

Leeds have had injury issues all over the pitch this term, but particularly in defence. Luke Ayling, Gaetano Berardi and Stuart Dallas have all been missing at various stages, and that has allowed midfielder Jamie Shackleton to establish himself as an option at right-back.
Shackleton has done extremely well when given a chance in the role. And with Ayling now back in the side, it appears to be the right decision from the Championship leaders to leave Coyle while he is getting regular game-time.
