Virgil van Dijk suffered an injury for Liverpool on Sunday.

Joel Matip has moved to appease fitness concerns over Liverpool team-mate Virgil van Dijk.
The Liverpool centre-back produced a stunning performance in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
But the big Dutchman suffered a knock late on following a collision with Moussa Sissoko.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp revealed that he saw Van Dijk walking with a ‘big ice pack’ after the game [the club’s official website].
Klopp’s side are vying for Premier League and Champions League glory this season, and any injury to Van Dijk could be detrimental to their hopes of winning either competition.
But Matip has told Sky Sports that the former Southampton and Celtic stalwart is okay, claiming that innocuous knocks such as this are par for the course more or less.
The Cameroon defender said: “I think he is not too bad. After a game a few players always have some small injuries but I’ve heard nothing else, so I think he will be fit.”
Liverpool, who moved top of the Premier League on Sunday, face Van Dijk’s former club Southampton this weekend, before turning their attention toward the first leg of a Champions League quarter-final with Porto.
The Merseyside outfit might get away with not having Van Dijk fit for the Saints, if it turns out that he will be absent, but Klopp will definitely need him for Porto.
