It was recently reported that Arsenal are very keen on snapping up two of Sunderland’s best talents.
The Gunners, according to the Sunderland Echo, are ready to launch a £5 million swoop to bring both Swedish talents Joel Asoro and Benjamin Mbunga-Kimpioka to the Emirates this summer.

18-year-old forward Asoro has been catching the eye at Sunderland all season, even making his first-team debut.
Now the teen has spoken about the interest from Arsenal, and admitted he was flattered to be linked with such an illustrious club. He told Expressen yesterday:
Joel Asoro (R) celebrates scoring the first goal for Sunderland with team mates
“Nice talking about such a big club, it’s just flattering. Clear that makes me happy, but I try not to focus so much on it.
“The thing is that I can not play U23 football any more. It does not develop me I need to find something else if we can not agree. You never know. Let’s see what happens.”
The teenager, who is currently with the Swedish under-21 side ahead of the UEFA Under-21 Championships in Poland, has also been linked with the likes of Everton, Liverpool and Southampton as well as French side Paris Saint-Germain.

Asoro would undoubtedly get more regular first-team football at Sunderland next term, after they suffered relegation to the Championship as the Premier League’s bottom side last term.
But Arsenal’s track record of bringing through young foreign talent is good and that may give them the edge in the hunt for the Sunderland talent.
