Rangers have been far from their best in recent weeks.

Rangers defender Joe Worrall spoke to reporters after his side’s hard-fought win over St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership yesterday, and admitted that he and his teammates have been far from good enough recently, suggesting that they should be good enough to blow teams away, as quoted by the Daily Record.
The Gers currently sit in third spot in the Scottish Premiership table, five points adrift of league leaders Hearts, although they do have a game in hand over the Edinburgh outfit.
Steven Gerrard has undoubtedly improved Rangers, since he took over at Ibrox in the summer, but it seems as though the Ibrox side are a long way off being ready to compete with Celtic for the league title.
Worrall spoke to reporters after the match at St Mirren Park, and suggested that he and his Rangers teammates should be blowing sides away, as quoted by the Daily Record:

“The manager fields a team to get a result, tailor-made for the opposition each game. So it shouldn’t matter who we are playing. If we get the formula right we should be scoring two and three goals and blowing teams away. But 100 per cent, the players are disappointed. We haven’t played the best over the past few games.”
Next up for Rangers is a trip to Spartak Moscow on Thursday night, and Gerrard’s men will have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of taking anything away from Russia.
