Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers are reportedly finding Joe Worrall too costly, and that could open the door for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic to make a move for the Nottingham Forest defender.
Ibrox club Rangers and Celtic are interested in signing Worrall from Forest in the summer transfer window, according to The Express.
The Daily Record has credited Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City with interest in the 21-year-old defender.
According to The Daily Mail, Worrall is proving too costly for Rangers, and this could help Celtic in their reported quest for the England Under-21 international.

Celtic are financially better off than Rangers, and the Glasgow giants would be in a better position to secure the services of the youngster.
Worrall is a good and talented young defender, and the Forest man would be a good signing for the Hoops.
Rodgers’s side have struggled defensively so far this season, and a player of Worrall’s talent and calibre is going to make the Bhoys better at the back.
