Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers signed Joe Worrall on loan from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.
Rangers defender Joe Worrall
Worrall joined Rangers on loan from Forest in the Championship in England in the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old defender has made three appearances in the Scottish Premiership, three in the Europa League and two in the Scottish League Cup for the Gers so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The England Under-21 international has compared playing in front of Forest fans at the City Ground to turning out at Ibrox.
Worrall told The Daily Record: “I’ve played for Forest and on loan at Dagenham – but this broadens your horizons. It’s all experience in the bank and I’m really enjoying it.
“Playing games is vital at my age. I wanted to be on the frontline playing, getting minutes under my belt, and so far I’ve done that.
“At Forest, you get 20-25,000 fans maximum. Here you’re playing in front of 50-60,000. It’s incredible, there aren’t a lot of players who do that so it is a massive step in my career.”

Stepping up
Worrall is a very talented and promising young defender, but the performances of the youngster could be better.
Although the 21-year-old has done well on occasions, one gets the feeling that the Forest-owned defender could do better.
Rangers are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and could also progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League this season.
