Leeds United defender Conor Shaughnessy has made seven appearances for Thomas Christiansen’s side.

The St. Johnstone man admits that he would love to play with his brother, as the pair have not had the chance to be teammates during their professional career.

But Joe admits that he believes Conor is now too important to Leeds to join him in Scotland.
“I’ve said it [to sign Conor] to him [St. Johnstone manager Tommy Wright] before,” said Joe.
“There would have been a chance if Conor hadn’t broken into the first team but you would think he’ll be staying at Leeds now.
“If he drops out then I’ll be in his ear to get him up! I’d love to play with him one day.”
Conor Shaughnessy has enjoyed a fine breakthrough season at Leeds so far, with Thomas Christiansen clearly rating the Irishman.
Shaughnessy has now made seven appearances for Leeds, and he has coped with every challenge thrown at him so far.
Shaughnessy could be required to come back into Leeds’ team for their next match against Sheffield Wednesday, as Christiansen’s defensive options will be short.

Liam Cooper will miss the Whites’ match at Hillsborough through suspension, which could present Shaughnessy with another chance to impress.
