Joe Rogan is backing the idea of the biggest stars in the sport fighting at the White House.

With more than half a year still to go until the UFC event marking 250 years since American independence, there has already been plenty of noise from fighters putting their hands up for a spot on the card.

It started back in June when President Donald Trump confirmed fights would be held at the White House. Since then, big names have lined up to get involved. Conor McGregor has said he wants to make his return on that card, and now Jon Jones is looking to do the same on June 14 in Washington D.C.

While McGregor seems to have found some support for his comeback plans, things have not gone as smoothly for Jones. Dana White shut down those hopes fairly quickly, saying that ‘Bones’ is too unpredictable for an event of that scale.

But there are voices within White’s inner circle who think it’s time to reconsider. One long-time associate believes the 38-year-old deserves another look.

Joe Rogan has been with the UFC for over 20 years, and he is also a close friend of White. That relationship runs deep – he has even said he would walk away from the promotion if White ever did.

Still, they do not always agree on everything, especially when it comes to who should be fighting at the White House in 2026.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan named Jones as part of his ideal line-up for what would be a historic event.

“I would love to see him [Alex Pereira] fight Jon Jones at the White House.

“Jon Jones vs. Pereira, for sure. Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler, that would be awesome. We want to have some fun – that’s a fun fight.

“And then you would probably want Islam Makhachev vs. Ilia Topuria, that would be insane,” he concluded.

Jon Jones says he’s happy to skip the main event for a shot at the White House card

While Jones keeps pushing to get on the card, he has made it clear just how much fighting at the White House would mean to him.

In a response to fans on X, ‘Bones’ said he does not even need to be in the main event. Just being part of the event in Washington D.C. is enough for him.

The last time Jones appeared on a UFC card without being either in a title fight or main event was all the way back at UFC 126, when he submitted Ryan Bader.

It has been more than 15 years since then, but that does not seem to bother him. He just wants to be involved.
