Joe Rogan offers Dakota Ditcheva praise
He’s not often found looking outside the UFC, but Dakota Ditcheva earned a mention on the latest episode of his popular podcast.
The unbeaten flyweight star came up during a discussion between Rogan and comedian Shane Gillis, as they joked about untrained men underestimating female fighters.
Gillis brought up the recent comments made by Nickal, questioning how he would fare against a female fighter. That’s when Rogan suggested she could have the upper hand in certain areas of MMA:
“She might be able to f****** light you up in the clinch.”

Joe Rogan believes Dakota Ditcheva is often overlooked as a fighter because of her appearance.
Speaking to Shane Gillis, he said: “Have you seen that really pretty girl that fights in the PFL?”
“What’s her name? Dakota Ditcheva? I don’t know how to say her last name. She’s from England.
“Most of her fights are wins by knockout. She’s this Muay Thai specialist, but she’s pretty.
“She’s real pretty and slim and slender. And she just f—s these girls up!
Ditcheva is only 25 years old but already has three first-round finishes in four PFL tournament bouts.
PFL commentator Sean O’Connell recently compared her to Amanda Nunes after witnessing another early finish by the 125-pounder.
The former two-weight UFC champion was one of the most feared punchers in women’s MMA history, holding wins over Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg.
Dakota Ditcheva forced to pull out of PFL return
After her July win over Sumiko Inaba, Dakota Ditcheva was in tears, not just from the victory but from breaking her left hand during the fight.
She appeared to be on the mend and was set for a big return. Dangerous’ seemed to have overcome her injury when she was booked to return on a PFL mega-card.
She’d been scheduled to face former Bellator Kickboxing champion Denise Kielholtz on 7 February but has since pulled out due to another setback suffered in training.
Ditcheva shared the news with fans in an Instagram post:
“I cried two days straight when I injured myself. Then cried again yesterday when it officially got announced,” she admitted. “Dramatic, I know, but I wanted nothing more than to fight on that card and have an early start to 2026.”
“Only fighting once last year was a nightmare for me, and I really wanted to make up for lost time,” she continued. “I live a great life, but nothing makes me happier than being in that cage. However, that being said, I know it just WASN’T MEANT TO BE.”
“So sorry to @pflmma & my opponent & sorry to my friends, family & fans who were excited to see me back out there in February,” she concluded. “I am healthy and healing. I will be back before you know it.”
