Joe Pritchard makes league bow for Bolton six months after leaving Tottenham

The Tottenham Hotspur academy product moved to Bolton Wanderers last summer.

The former Tottenham Hotspur academy player Joe Pritchard made his long-awaited senior debut on Monday.

Pritchard was released by Tottenham at the end of last season, bringing to an end his 15-year association with the Premier League club.

And while the now 22-year-old was soon picked up by Bolton Wanderers, he had continued to feature at under-23 level until West Bromwich Albion’s visit.

The 2-0 defeat saw Pritchard named in Bolton’s matchday squad for only the second time all season – and first in the Championship – but he made an appearance nonetheless, replacing Craig Noone in the Trotters’ midfield with eight minutes remaining.

Another one-time Tottenham player, Ben Alnwick, played the full 90 minutes in goal for the home side.
