Pat Nevin has criticised Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart on BBC Sport for the goal that he conceded against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Rangers at Celtic Park today.

The former Chelsea and Scotland international winger believes that Hart should have saved the goal from Rangers forward Fashion Sakala.

Sakala scored in the 67th minute to make it 1-1 in the Old Firm derby.

The Scottish Premiership game finished 1-1.

Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart criticised for Rangers goal

Nevin said on BBC Sport: “It’s possibly the first decent thing Fashion Sakala has done all day. It’s a very, very difficult angle to score from and I think a lot of people will look at Joe Hart and say ‘really, from there?'”

Title March

Hart may have been at fault for the goal that Rangers scored, but he redeemed himself later in the Old Firm derby with a brilliant save for Celtic.

The former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper was a big reason why Celtic picked up a point from the Old Firm derby.

The Hoops are six points clear of Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Unless something dramatic happens to Celtic, the Hoops will win the league and reclaim the title from Rangers.

The Hoops have been the best team in Scotland this season, and, in our view, they will deservedly win the title.

As for Hart, yes, he could have done better for the goal that Rangers scored, but his performances for Celtic this season have been superb.
