The 19-year-old has progressed well since joining Queens Park Rangers from neighbours Fulham in July.
Queens Park Rangers prospect Joe Felix has been making steady strides since signing for the club this summer, offering confident and assured displays beyond his years.
Felix has started to catch the eye under the stewardship of QPR U23’s boss Pall Hall, and it is likely only a matter of time before he plays himself into consideration for the first-team.
Felix is predominantly a right-back but can play on the left side of the defence, which gives QPR more options to utilise him. Darnell Furlong is sidelined currently and Jake Bidwell is set to join him.
The latter is thought to have fractured his collar bone and, although Rangers do have cover in the shape of Angel Rangel and Niko Hamalainen, Felix’s potential could be called on over busy periods.
Felix, 19, has started all but one game for the U23s so far this season and, although he is still young and raw, exposure to the first-team prior to a future short-term loan can work wonders for a player’s development.
Realistically, there is still a lot for Felix to understand and learn about the game but, if he continues the way he is, after impressing again against Brentford B this week, QPR boss Steve McClaren will likely provide him his golden opportunity.
