Rangers could be about to bring Joe Dodoo to Ibrox on loan.

Leicester City striker Joe Dodoo has confirmed to STV that he has started training with Rangers ahead of a possible move to Ibrox.
The Gers have strengthened their goalkeeping options with the signing of Matt Gilks, boosted their defence by signing Lee Hodson and Clint Hill, and added quality in midfield in Matt Crooks, Josh Windass, Joey Barton, Jordan Rossiter and Niko Kranjcar.
Adding another striker had to be next on the list for manager Mark Warburton though, with competition needed for Martyn Waghorn and Kenny Miller.
A host of names have been linked with the club, but Rangers now appear to be closing in on the signing of Leicester City striker Joe Dodoo.
The 21-year-old was born in Ghana but has represented England at youth level, and has been on the books with Leicester since 2008, making just one Premier League appearance for the Foxes.
Now, Dodoo has revealed to STV that he has started training with Rangers ahead of a possible move to Ibrox – and says anybody would be excited to play for the Gers.
“I know a lot [about Rangers],” said Dodoo. “I used to watch them a lot when I was younger and obviously there’s the rivalry with Celtic. It’s a great club. Any player would be excited to play for a team like Rangers,” he added.
STV note that Dodoo is out of contract with Leicester, meaning Rangers could land him in a cut-price compensation deal just as they did with former Liverpool ace Rossiter, but the Daily Record claim that any move would be a loan deal.
It’s stated that Warburton appears to have won the race for Dodoo – a pacey forward who can play out wide or up front – by convincing Leicester that he will benefit from a season in the Scottish Premiership.
