Chelsea defender Reece James scored the equaliser as Frank Lampard’s side drew 4-4 last night.

Chelsea drew 4-4 with Ajax last night, with James coming on at half-time and making a huge difference.
The Blues came back from 4-1 down against Ajax, and without James’s attacking intent in the second half their recovery may not have been possible.
James provided several excellent deliveries from right-back, as Chelsea turned the game on its head in the second-half.
The teenaged defender also scored Chelsea’s fourth goal with an excellent strike, as he helped Frank Lampard’s side claim a point.
And Cole was really impressed by the Chelsea academy graduate’s display, as he thought the prospect’s delivery was much better than when he had seen him in training.
“When I was playing in America, I came around to train with the kids,” Cole said. “We were having shooting session and the kid’s shooting was erratic, but James was on the money, on the money, whipping crosses, it was like watching Beckham.”
James missed much of the early part of the season with injury, but there is a feeling that he could be the next youngster to break into Lampard’s starting line-up.

Although James has to compete with Cesar Azpilicueta for a place in Chelsea’s team, Lampard has shown no fear in playing youngsters so far this term.
Chelsea are next in action against Crystal Palace at the weekend, when it remains to be seen whether James will be given the nod to start.
