Joe Aribo played his part as Rangers earned a comfortable win at Ibrox against Oxford United in a pre-season friendly.

Joe Aribo expressed his delight on Twitter at playing at Ibrox for the first time as Rangers secured a comfortable 5-0 pre-season friendly win against Oxford United.
The Gers signed Aribo during the summer transfer window [Rangers official website] when the attack-minded midfielder made the switch from English Championship side Charlton.
On Sunday afternoon, Steven Gerrard’s side returned to Ibrox ahead of the new campaign as they dispatched the English League One outfit.
Aribo, who got some much-needed minutes on the pitch, sent this message to the Light Blues supporters, as posted on his personal Twitter account.
Aribo will play a huge part for his new club after helping Lee Bowyer’s Charlton earn promotion to the Championship by winning the League One Play-Off final.
Nonetheless, It was good preparation for Gerrard and his players because they will now turn their attention to trying to qualify for the Europa League.

On Tuesday evening, the Glasgow club will travel to Gibraltar where they will take on St Joseph’s in their opening Europa League qualifying encounter.
Rangers will be expected to sail through comfortably during these encounters, but they can be tricky because of the conditions they play in and the fact that the players are not at their sharpest so early on in their preparations.
Either way, Gerrard and his players will take inspiration from their performances in Europe during the previous campaign where they surprised many by overachieving.
