Rangers’ Joe Aribo was warned about his move to Ibrox.

Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo was warned by Lee Bowyer about moving to Ibrox.
So far the words of his former boss have fallen flat, as demonstrated by his international goal in midweek.
Rangers signed Aribo from Charlton Athletic in the summer.
Addicks boss Bowyer told Daily Record. “If he goes to Rangers that is not the right place for him to go for his football career.”
Bring at Rangers has had some benefit, clearly, as he was called into Nigeria’s national squad.
Making his debut this week, Aribo scored in a 2-2 draw with Ukraine this week.
If anything, Aribo’s move to Rangers has been for the benefit of his career.
He has been playing in the Europa League, and now has six group stage games to look forward to.

This provides him with a tougher test than had he signed with Brentford, a move Bowyer made clear he felt would have been more beneficial.
Aribo’s club form has dipped a little over the past fortnight, and he will have to raise his game.
Rangers have many options in midfield and the competition for places means Aribo will have to perform to keep his place.
This is just one more reason why joining Steven Gerrard’s side is a smart move.
He has probably already proved his point, with his Nigeria debut just the beginning of a potentially fruitful international career.
