The Wales star elected to leave Anfield for Stoke City this summer.

Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen has told BBC Sport that it became obvious to him personally that he had to leave Liverpool this summer.
The Welsh international joined Mark Hughes’ side in a £13 million move this summer after impressing with his country at Euro 2016.
His decision to depart Anfield came after he had found himself down the pecking under at the club last season, as Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp used several other midfielders ahead of him.

His prospects were unlikely to improve this season, and he says it became obvious to him that he would have to move on.
“I think it had come to the point where I needed to move on. Personally, it was pretty obvious,” he told BBC Sport.
“It comes to a certain stage in your career where if it’s not happening then you have to go and seek it out hopefully I will get much more game time now. That is going to be really important for me in my international career as well.”

Allen will now be keen to make his mark at Stoke and prove that Liverpool were wrong to let him go this summer.
He is likely to be a first-team regular in their team from the outset, with him signed to help continue their ongoing transition into a more attractive passing side.
If he can help them do that by putting in star performances as he did in France, then the Reds will certainly be left wondering if they made the right choice in moving him on.
