Mauricio Pochettino’s men, who went into the Stamford Bridge second-leg clash with a 1-0 lead, lost the encounter 2-1 on the night and subsequently were beaten in the penalty shootout.
Despite being on the losing side, Eriksen produced a magnificent display with the ball, showcasing his technical ability and his passing ability on the night.
In the second half, with the score at 2-1, Eriksen played a delightful cross pass from the right-hand side to striker Fernando Llorente, who failed to control the brilliantly weighted ball.
Nonetheless, former Chelsea coach Morris, who is now working under Frank Lampard at Derby County, recognised that Eriksen moment as he posted this message on his personal Twitter account.
Eriksen played the full 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge and was assigned to take the first penalty on the night and he didn’t disappoint by coolly dispatching his spot kick.
On the night, N’Golo Kante opened the scoring before Eden Hazard doubled his side’s lead as Chelsea went into the break having overturned the one-goal deficit.
But the much-talked-about Fernando Llorente pulled one back with his headed goal five minutes after the restart as the home team then went on to secure their place in the final via penalties.
As for Eriksen, he and Spurs will be turning their attention to Sunday’s tricky FA Cup encounter against London neighbours Crystal Palace.
