Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers lost Billy Gilmour to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Gilmour joined Premier League side Chelsea in May after leaving Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers.
The 16-year-old operates as a midfielder and is rated very highly. Blessed with technique, the teenager creates chances and goals, and he is very good tactically as well.
The Scotland Under-17 international can play anywhere in midfield, and the youngster could develop into a very good player for the senior Chelsea team in the coming years.
Chelsea Under-18 head coach Morris has revealed that he went to watch Gilmour when the teenager was at Rangers and has also spoken highly of the young Scot.

“I went to watch him a few times when we were looking at him, but at the same time you never really get to know someone until you see them close up,” Morris told The Scottish Sun about Gilmour.
“He has impressed our recruitment side of things and I have to say seeing him close up day in day out he has impressed me even more.
“But his personality and character is something that is going to benefit him because he gives it his all every day in training.”

The senior Chelsea team are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, having clinched the championship last season.
It is unlikely that Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers will be able to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title during the 2017-18 campaign, but the Gers should be aiming to end up in second spot.
