Joaquin Niemann is the standout player on the LIV Golf side of things, just as Scottie Scheffler is over on the PGA Tour.
Niemann took apart another LIV event in the UK this weekend to win his seventh event on the breakaway tour and cement his status as the best player in that circuit.
He ended up beating Bubba Watson by four shots as he easily made his way to another victory.
After playing with him on Saturday, Paul Casey called Niemann ‘amazing’, while Jon Rahm said he was underrated following that UK event.
And while there may be question marks surrounding Niemann’s major championship credentials, no one can doubt how much money he’s making these days.

It’s no secret that LIV players are well compensated, with contracts and signing fees giving many a significant boost early on.
But it’s the ongoing tournament winnings that continue to add up, and right now, Joaquin Niemann sits at the top of the list globally.
Niemann’s $4 million payday from LIV UK pushed his season total to $16 million, putting him ahead of every other golfer in prize money this year.
That puts him ahead of Scottie Scheffler on the PGA Tour, who has earned $12.7 million since May.

Niemann was clearly in good spirits after his latest win, and when he was told that he’d now surpassed Scheffler in earnings for the year, he couldn’t help but smile.

“It’s great. Definitely a lot of money at stake, but I don’t play for the money. I feel like I – whenever I was there on the course feeling that competition, I feel like sometimes trying to win for me is probably one of the biggest challenges. That’s why I think it kind of became pretty tough during the round today having Bubba coming up pretty hot.
“All I want to do is win. I want to be the best in the field. Yeah, I don’t really think about the money when I’m in that situation. I feel like if Bubba would’ve beat me I would be pretty pissed and not happy. Yeah, and I think money will not change that feeling.”
The Chilean has every chance to push past $20m this season given his current form and with three more big events still to come.
