Joaquin Niemann and Bryson DeChambeau were two of only three players who received penalties in the four major championships this year.
Other players have received warnings for their on-course behavior, including Sergio Garcia at The Masters and Jon Rahm at The Open.
Garrick Higgo did receive a two-stroke penalty but that was for turning up late to the tee at the PGA Championship.
However, LIV Golf stars Joaquin Niemann and Bryson DeChambeau were penalized for entirely different reasons.
Niemann received a two-stroke penalty at the US Open for throwing his club after a poor shot.
And then just one month later, DeChambeau was docked two shots at The Open Championship for a rules infringement.
DeChambeau’s actions at The Open caused huge controversy, while Niemann seemed to have plenty of support after being harshly treated at the US Open.

Niemann addressed the media in England this week ahead of LIV Golf UK.
He responded when asked by one reporter about the penalties that he and DeChambeau have received this year.
“I feel like they definitely are trying to — I feel like the rules officials are trying to take more responsibility now, and I think it’s completely right,“ the Chilean said.
“I feel like it’s definitely frustrating on my side to have a two-stroke penalty, and definitely for Bryson.
“We’ve probably been the only guys that have been punished with penalties, but I feel like it’s the right thing to do.
“There’s obviously always going to be controversy, but if I was watching somebody behaving badly, I would bring the attention to them.
“Golf is a game where you practise your honor. You’re always trying to respect the other person. You’re trying to respect the game. I feel like you always can go better.
“It’s a game that you can get frustrated pretty quick. You have a lot of expectations of winning, and sometimes you’re going to get frustrated and stuff like that.“

As mentioned earlier, there have been numerous warnings for poor behavior during the majors this season.
Rahm and Garcia are two of the biggest names to have fallen foul of the new code of conduct rules and regulations.
Niemann was asked whether he thinks golf’s governing bodies clamping down on poor behavior is the right thing to do.
“But yeah, I mean, I think a few other guys also — two or three more guys at The Open, I think they got a warning, as well, for misbehaving.
“I think it’s the right thing to do. We can definitely behave better at the golf course.
“But yeah, it was unfortunate for Bryson to have that situation, and it is what it is.“
Joaquin Niemann is clearly very much in favor of the recent code of conduct changes, and judging by his remarks, he believes the penalty given to DeChambeau was fair, albeit unfortunate.
