Joao Palhinha has opened up on his move to Bayern Munich after the Portuguese midfielder finally completed his move from Fulham.
Last summer, when it appeared that a move to Bayern Munich was on the cards, Joao Palhinha remained at Fulham after talks of a deal broke down.
Rather than throw his toys out of the pram, the Portuguese midfielder got his head down for Marco Silva’s side and the former Sporting Lisbon star had another solid season.
Another solid season in the Premier League only added to Bayern’s already strong interest in the midfielder and the German side have finally got a deal over the line.

Palhinha explains decision to move to Bayern
Despite the Bavarian side changing managers this summer with former Burnley manager Vincent Kompany replacing Thomas Tuchel at the helm, the interest never waned.
Bayern had multiple offers rejected for the midfielder before finally striking an agreement with the Cottagers last week.
The deal is understood to be around £42 million which is certainly a good signing for the Bavarian side and he has spoken about his decision to move to Munich.
“It’s a dream come true and one of the happiest days of my life,” Palhinha told Bayern’s website. “It’s something that makes every player proud.
“Since I was young, I dreamed of joining a club like this and I can’t wait to get started.”
When asked what his aim was for his first season in Bavaria, he replied: “Trophies, trophies and more trophies.”
Fulham’s plan to replace Palhinha explained
Whilst the Cottagers will be sad to lose one of their most important players, Silva’s Fulham will now have to try and replace the Portuguese star.
Sources have told HITC that the West London club have made an enquiry to Manchester United over midfielder Scott McTominay.
Whilst Fluminense’s midfielder Andre, who was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League back in the summer of 2023, is another target for the club.
We reported back in February that the midfielder was ready to snub interest from Turkey as he wanted a move to the Premier League.
