Joao Felix has told former Chelsea star Kai Havertz on Instagram that he scored a ‘nice volley’ during Arsenal’s 5-0 thumping of the MLS All-Stars.
Mikel Arteta’s side are over in the USA for their pre-season tour and Kai Havertz, who has got a lot of stick before, during and after joining Arsenal, shut his critics up with a brilliant goal.
It’s just a sign of things to come from the German international, who joined from London rivals Chelsea this summer.
There has been a lot of faith put into the 24-year-old despite his struggles last season, but it’s fair to say that the environment at Stamford Bridge is a lot different than the one at the Emirates.
It’s his first unofficial goal, but Havertz did post on Instagram that it was a ‘really nice feeling’ to get on the scoresheet for the first time for his new club.
In the comments section, Portugal star and his former Chelsea teammate Joao Felix wrote, ‘nice volley’.

“Really nice feeling to get my first @arsenal goal,” said Havertz. “Thank you to the fans for the amazing support this week!”
Havertz can prove doubters wrong
The versatile forward may have struggled during these past 12 months, but that was in Chelsea colours where everything around him was collapsing.
He has now joined a team at the top of his game and one that is only bettered by a team that won the Treble.
Whilst Havertz won the European Cup during his days at Chelsea, he didn’t win the Premier League title, but if Arsenal continue to progress, then there is every chance that it will happen at the Emirates.
