Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are reportedly interested in Joachim Andersen of Sampdoria.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal are interested in signing Andersen from Sampdoria this summer.
The 23-year-old Danish central defender – who is valued at between €20 million (£17.77m) and €30m (£26.66m) by the CIES Football Observatory – has suggested that he is ready to further his career.
The youngster has also revealed that a number of clubs in Europe are interested in him and are in discussions with his agent.
Andersen told Goal.com: “It could be time for me to further my career. I have loved my time in Sampdoria – the fans, the president, the staff, the players, the city – but maybe it’s time to move on to develop further.
“There are a number of interested clubs from Europe’s biggest leagues who are discussing with my agent and I’ll be making a decision shortly together with my family and my agent.”
Encouraging for Tottenham Hotspur
With Tottenham reportedly interested in Andersen, the defender’s aforementioned comments are very encouraging for the North London outfit, as they show that he is ready to move from Sampdoria.
With Spurs in the Champions League next season and in a better place than Arsenal, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be more appealing to the Danish defender than the Gunners.
According to WhoScored, Andersen made 32 appearances in Serie A for Sampdoria this season, providing one assist in the process.
