Tottenham Hotspur’s youngsters thrashed Red Star Belgrade this week in the under-19s UEFA Youth League.

Spurs won 9-2, with young striker Troy Parrott scoring four goals.

It was J’Neil Bennett who scored the first, just like he did in the inaugural match at Tottenham’s new stadium back in March.

Bennett, 17, is very highly rated and he was thrilled at his link up with Troy Parrott.

He sent a message to the Ireland under-21 international striker celebrating their success against Red Star.

Bennett and Parrott are the pick of the bunch of Tottenham’s academy attackers right now, although the former is a little further behind in terms of pushing for the first team.

There is a chance Parrott makes the breakthrough this season, already making his debut in the Carabao Cup.

The hope is that both players will get there eventually, although it could be 2020/21 when they really thrive.

The groundwork and partnership which is blossoming now, will help them both, and could really pay off in the future.
