Celtic prospect Scott Robertson has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

Still just 17, Robertson was part of Neil Lennon’s squad on the club’s pre-season trip to Austria, featuring in a match against SC Pinkafeld.
Most recently he was brought off the bench to replace Ewan Henderson during last Saturday’s 0-0 draw against French Cup winners Rennes.
Clearly regarded as one of the outstanding talents emerging from the club’s youth teams, Robertson will now have the opportunity to travel a path towards senior action competitively.
Mikey Johnston, Karamoko Dembele and Henderson have all been involved over the last few months, with other older talents such as Kieran Tierney, Callum McGregor and James Forrest setting an example that homegrown talents can prevail at Celtic Park.

There’s a long way to go for Robertson yet but he’s shown composure and quality in the middle of the park so far and fans are pleased he will be kept on by the club, with some taking to Twitter to react to the confirmed contract news…
