Isaiah Brown has become one of the most talked about young players in English football during the last couple of years.

The 18-year-old has been given the opportunity to play regular first team football during a season-long loan spell with Rotherham United this term and he’s already thriving, according to manager Alan Stubbs.

Brown has made five appearances for The Millers so far this season, netting once in their shaky start to the season. However, manager Alan Stubbs sees a great deal of potential in the young star and tips him for a Premier League future.

Speaking to Rotherham United Player HD, Stubbs said: “He’s doing what everyone, or certainly what I, knew he could do. He certainly has to keep his performance levels up on a week-to-week basis and if he does that then he has a very good opportunity of playing at a very high level.

“Everybody has always looked at Izzy as a player with huge potential. He’s still young, he’s still learning, but the one thing that’s not in question is his ability and with that he should one day be playing at a very high level – I don’t see why that can’t be the premier league.”

The England under-19 international has been working alongside the impressive Danny Ward, who has already netted four times this season.

Stubbs went on to highlight the benefits of the forward duo working together. He added: “I think as a player he gives us options right across the front, he can play right, left, off-centre so from his point of view he’s tactically aware of all those positions.

“He’s really enjoying playing with Danny Ward and the responsibility that he’s given, he’s thriving on.

“There’s no substitute for playing week in, week out, it’s what every young player wants to do, especially if you’re a player with a lot of ability. You want someone you give you an opportunity and we’ve given him that, although I have to say, he’s in the team on merit and nothing else”.
