As Brighton & Hove Albion continue to flourish in the Championship, Jiri Skalak is proving to be one of the key men behind their success.

Everyone knows that Brighton & Hove Albion are one of the front runners for promotion this season – that much is obvious. But the actual individuals behind what they are doing down south are not receiving the plaudits they deserve, and Jiri Skalak is a big part of that.

With five assists to his name already this campaign and a host of impressive performances, Skalak is going under the radar as one of the biggest gems in recent years. The 24-year-old made his intention known from the start, with many people criticising his decision to move to the Seagulls.

The Czech midfielder wanted promotion back in June and has kept that focus throughout the early stages of the season, and the rest of the Championship needs to take note of his abilities.

Being able to adapt to new surroundings and thrive under the circumstances is a sign of a great player, and there’s no doubt that Skalak has been improving as the weeks go on.

Skalak is a game winner and if this is what he is capable of so soon into his English football career, the future is extremely bright for the youngster.
