The new Ipswich Town goalkeeper coach became a popular figure at Sunderland.

Jimmy Walker has described his decision to leave Sunderland for Ipswich Town as one of the toughest he has ever had to make.
Walker was only appointed Sunderland goalkeeper coach after Jack Ross’s arrival as manager in the summer, but reunited with another Scottish boss, Paul Lambert, at Ipswich on Monday.

Walker, who represented clubs including West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Walsall in a playing career spanning 25 years, played under Lambert at Colchester United.
Lambert was appointed Ipswich manager at the end of October, after Paul Hurst was sacked just months into his tenure at Portman Road.

Sunderland have yet to announce who will succeed Walker at the Stadium of Light.
