Former West Ham United goalkeeper and fan’s favourite Jimmy Walker has delivered his verdict on the club’s move for Joe Hart.
The Hammers are close to sealing a season-long loan with an option to buy the England number one, as reported by Sky Sports.
Hart would become Slaven Bilic’s second signing of the summer and the second from Manchester City after the arrival of Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer.

While the signing would be welcomed by most, the move has left some Hammers fans divided over Hart’s quality with many suggesting he is no better than current number one Adrian, who made the Spain squad last season.
But former Hammers goalkeeper and fans’ favourite Jimmy Walker has backed the move.
“This my West Ham friends would be a fantastic signing,” Walker said on Twitter.
Hart endured a mixed season on loan at Torino last term, starting well before errors crept into his game leading to criticism from the Italian press.
In total Hart made five errors that resulted in Torino conceding a goal, the second most in Serie A.
But Hammers fans must not forget the breathtakingly saves the Manchester City outcast is capable of.
Leader at the back: Joe Hart
He is a leader, a better organiser than Adrian and adds to West Ham’s English contigent.
And it says a lot that it took Pep Guardiola three goalkeepers and a world record fee to replace Hart with new £35m Brazilian stopper Eder yet to prove his worth.
