Could Celtic face Chelsea in the group stage of Champions League next season?

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has told The Scottish Sun that he wants Celtic to face Chelsea in the Champions League next season.
Celtic won the Scottish Premiership title last season, while Chelsea clinched the Premier League in England in 2016-17.
While the Blues are guaranteed to feature in the group stage of the Champions League in 2017-18, Brendan Rodgers’s side will have to go through qualifiers.
Former Netherlands international striker Hasselbaink, who is now 45 years of age, worked with Celtic manager Rodgers when they were at Chelsea, and he hopes that the two clubs face each other in the group stage of the Champions League.

“It would be great to see Celtic get through the qualifying phase and maybe end up playing Chelsea in the group stage,” Hasselbaink told The Scottish Sun.
“That would mean a lot to Brendan and both games would be amazing. They are both great clubs.”
Chelsea and Celtic are two of the biggest clubs in the world, and it would be great for the fans to have them face each other in the group stage of the Champions League.
The Hoops, though, will probably not want the Blues in their group; one suspects that the Glasgow giants will want teams who are not as strong as Antonio Conte’s side.
