Leeds United striker Chris Wood has been in brilliant form in the Championship this season.

One of the main reasons behind Leeds United’s success this season has been the form of Chris Wood.
The New Zealand international striker is scoring goals quite regularly at the moment and has established himself as a key player in Garry Monk’s side.
The former West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City striker has scored 18 goals and created 27 chances in 30 Championship appearances for Leeds so far this season.
During the 2015-16 campaign, the 25-year-old former Hamilton Wanderers man scored 12 goals and created 39 chances in 35 league games for the West Yorkshire outfit.
Wood’s performances this season have impressed former Leeds and Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
“He doesn’t have to be in the game, but at the moment he is lethal in front of the goal,” Hasselbaink said about Wood on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds last Friday (broadcast from 6pm, February 10).
“He is not really the quickest, but he is also not the slowest. He has got good pace. He likes crosses, he likes to score goals. He comes alive in the box, and I think he leads the line really well for Leeds.”
Leeds are going strong in the Championship this season and are in genuine contention of a top-six finish.
The West Yorkshire outfit are currently fifth in the table with 54 points from 31 matches.
Garry Monk’s side will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Bristol City at Elland Road in the Championship.
Leeds will head into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Cardiff City at Elland Road in the league.
