Leeds United’s youth ranks are famously productive, with a host of players coming their academy in recent times.
The likes of James Milner, Danny Rose and Aaron Lennon have emerged in the past, whilst Lewis Cook, Ronaldo Vieira, Charlie Taylor and Jack Clarke have been moved on in more recent times.
Kalvin Phillips has become a first-team star for club and country, so there is plenty of inspiration for Leeds teenagers seeking stardom themselves.
One particularly exciting talent emerging right now is Jimiel Chikukwa, with the LUFC Youth twitter account highlighting his quality.
Chikukwa has notched five goals in five games for Leeds’ Under-18’s this season, whilst also contributing an assist.
Chikukuwa doesn’t turn 18 until April, so a first-team chance is likely some way off, but this is a big season for the striker.

His scholarship comes to an end next summer, meaning he is fighting for a professional contract with his performances this term.
The Zimbabwean attacker is doing everything right so far, scoring goals on a regular basis for Leeds Under-18’s.
If Chikukwa can keep up this kind of form, Leeds will surely hand him a professional deal – and joining Phillips in the first team will ultimately be the dream for the youngster.
