Jim White has claimed that Tottenham boss, Antonio Conte, will be ‘happy’ at the end of today’s transfer deadline day, as he told talkSPORT (31/01/22 at 8:45 am).

The talkSPORT presenter shared that Tottenham are ‘doing good business’ behind the scenes ahead of the January window slamming shut at 11 pm.

Sky Sports report that Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur are closing in on a move to Spurs.

For most parts of the winter transfer window, Spurs fans have been kicking and punching the air because it seems as though deals have been slipping away from them.

But, finally, it seems as though Conte will be getting his wish and new talent is going to be added to his squad.

Of course, the deals still have to be announced, but transfer expert, White, had some exciting news for the club’s fans.

“Tottenham are doing good business,” said White. “If these two get over the line. About time.

“Dejan Kulusevski, I was in Italy, a couple of years ago Parma-Roma, and I saw this boy Kulusevski. And he gave Chris Smalling the run around. He was fantastic, hence the move to Juventus.

“Bentancur could also be added to midfield. So, they are moving and shaking off there is no doubt.

“I reckon Tottenham will be comfortable, and more to the point, Conte will be happy come the end of the day. The business that seems to be done is good business.”

A happy Conte equals a very happy Tottenham fanbase because it then equates to the club moving forward.

For the Spurs faithful, they know that it’s all about backing Conte and then he will do the rest.

But, previously, Daniel Levy has proven that he hasn’t backed his managers given the results they have produced on the pitch.

Mauricio Pochettino is a prime example of that because he punched well above Tottenham’s weight for several years, but wasn’t rewarded enough.

The Spurs chairman simply can’t do that with Conte, else he will allow one of the world’s best coaches just slip away.
