Jim Stewart parted company with Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers back in March, before joining up with Mark Warburton at Nottingham Forest in May.

Jim Stewart has told The Scottish Sun that he was disappointed by the way in which Rangers handled his dismissal earlier this year.
The former Gers’ goalkeeping coach was dismissed from his role with the Ibrox club after Pedro Caixinha replaced axed manager Mark Warburton in March.
The 63-year-old, who has since reunited with Warburton at Nottingham Forest, claims he had a “very short conversation” with Rangers director Stewart Robson, before being told to pack his bags for pastures new.
“He was appointed, then after the Celtic game in March, I went home and got an email from director Stewart Robertson asking me to come and meet him the following day,” he told The Scottish Sun.

“I knew I wasn’t going in to get a new contract — and it turned out to be a very short conversation between us! “There might have been a better way of Rangers doing it. I was disappointed. It hurt a wee bit.
“I just think if they’d been up front and said, ‘There’s a new manager coming, he’s bringing his own people’, I could have lived with that.”
Stewart, who spent four years with Rangers as a player in the 1980s, went on to reveal that he received a phonecall from Warburton following his sacking, asking if he’d consider a role at the City Ground after the ex-Brentford boss secured Forest’s Championship status.

He added: “I know how managers work and it’s only fair to give people time. Mark had phoned me when I lost my job at Rangers.
“But once Forest were safe from relegation he rang again and said they were considering a change and would I think about going to them.”
Rangers, these days, look a stronger team than they were under Warburton for large spells of last season and Saturday’s clash with Celtic at Ibrox offers the perfect test to see how far they have come under Caixinha, whose side are five points behind the Hoops.
