Jim Beglin has said on Football Pass that he loved the way Everton right-back Seamus Coleman played against Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson at Anfield at the weekend.
Coleman had a very good game at right-back, as Everton got the better of Liverpool 2-0 away from home at Anfield in the Merseyside derby this past Saturday.
The Republic of Ireland international did not allow Liverpool and Scotland international left-back Robertson to play his natural game.
Former Liverpool left-back Beglin has said that he enjoyed the performance of Coleman.
Meanwhile, former Arsenal star Paul Merson has praised Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford his performance against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.
Beglin said on Football Pass: “I loved the way Seamus Coleman sacrificed his game to just take Andy Robertson. I think Andy Robertson got one cross in which led to a header, and that was it during the game. It’s not easy to subdue somebody like him because he is just non-stop.”
Merson told Sky Sports: “You also have to give credit where credit is due, I thought Jordan Pickford was outstanding.
“He was solid and made some really good saves. He was England’s number one and that’s what I expect from him every week. If he doesn’t have the game he has then I think Liverpool probably get a result.”

Important player for Everton
Coleman has been at Everton since 2009 and has been a huge player for the team over the years.
The 32-year-old is one of the better right-backs in the Premier League. The Republic of Ireland international is good going on the attack and is defensively solid as well.
So far this season, Coleman has made 10 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Everton, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
Coleman will be an important player for Everton in their quest to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
