Former Liverpool player and now football pundit, Jim Beglin, is heavily impressed with Tottenham’s 4-0 victory over Bournemouth at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
It was complete dominance from the home team right from the first whistle. Moussa Dembele fired Spurs ahead from close range in the 16th minute, and Son Heung-min doubled the lead with a darting run and neat finish three minutes later.
Harry Kane, who made his first start in a month, scored right after the break and made sure of full three points.
Vincent Jansseen, who came on as replacement for Kane, scored his second Premier League goal of the season in injury time to cap off a fantastic performance by the whole team.
Jim Beglin tweeted right after the game:
The victory was significant for two different reasons. First, it was Spurs’ seventh win in a row – a feat they managed for the first time in 50 years. It was Tottenham’s 12th consecutive win at the Lane.
Kane has now scored 20 league goals in a season and has become just the fourth player to score 20 Premier League goals in three consecutive seasons after Alan Shearer, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Thierry Henry.
Spurs are now four points behind Chelsea, who face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
