Former Liverpool star Jim Beglin has weighed in on the club’s reported pursuit of Alisson.
Liverpool are trying to sign the Brazil international goalkeeper from Roma, and face competition from Chelsea
Sky Sport Italia report Liverpool have made an offer of 70 million Euros.
Beglin believes that Alisson’s recent experience at Anfield, when he was on the losing side for Roma, should help persuade him to join the Reds.
Liverpool knocked Roma out of the Champions League last season at the semi-final stage.
Alisson is Brazil’s number one and is currenlty on holiday after his World Cup exploits, with the Selecao reaching the quarter-finals.
Liverpool are in desperate need of a new goalkeeper with Loris Karius showing he is a weak link.
Chelsea could be in need of a new stopper too, with Real Madrid attempting to sign Thibaut Courtois, who has just one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
