Former Tottenham Hotspur pair Mauricio Pochettino and Jesus Perez have enjoyed a brilliant start to life in France.
Spurs sacked Pochettino as manager in November of 2019 and the Argentine took 14 months out of the game.
Paris Saint-Germain hired the 48-year-old earlier this month and he has already guided the Ligue 1 giants to a trophy.
Pochettino, who spent five years as Tottenham boss, oversaw a 2-1 Trophee Des Champions final win over Marseille last night, with Perez as his assistant.
This is the first piece of silverware that the former Southampton and Espanyol coach has picked up in his career.
Perez uploaded a post-match photo on Twitter of the ceremony, with Pochettino and his staff at the very back.
And here’s how some Lilywhites fans responded to their former assistant coach on social media:
Back in North London, Tottenham haven’t won a trophy since way back in 2008.
But there is genuine optimism that Jose Mourinho – Pochettino’s successor – will end that barren spell, with the North Londoners facing Manchester City in a League Cup final later in the season.
