Last night, Jamie Carragher managed to witness a quick chat with Liverpool-linked star Erling Braut Håland, after he scored twice in Borussia Dortmund’s win over Club Brugge.
The Norway international’s former Sporting Director, RB Salzburg chief Christoph Freund, recently told Sky Sports that he thinks the striker ‘will land’ at Liverpool.
Freund told Sky Sports (via Goal): ‘That’s where he will land.’
After watching a live interview with him last night, Carragher was heard saying ‘Jesus Christ’ after what was a less-than-normal chat with the man who cost Dortmund £17.1 million.
Håland was interviewed by a reporter, with the ex-Red, Micah Richards and Kate Abdo watching on from a studio on CBS Sports.
The reporter strangely asked Håland if he would be sleeping alone tonight, to which the confused striker replied: ‘Erm…yeah.’

The reporter continued: ‘You’re not taking a girlfriend home? You didn’t score a hat-trick.’
‘I didn’t score, no’ replied the Dortmund star.
After the strange interview, Carragher and Richards were in fits of laughter with the former saying ‘Jesus Christ’ in response – he also exclaimed that he ‘thought we were all getting sacked!’
While the interview may have seemed odd, there was some explanation behind it at least.

Håland has previously told Norwegian outlet Dagbladet (via The Mirror): ‘I sleep with the five balls for each hat-trick I have scored. I lie in bed and I feel good with them. I look at them every day. They are my girlfriends.’
Despite his history of giving strange interviews, there’s no denying that the Norwegian is one of the hottest players in Europe right now.
His double against Club Brugge took him to ten goals for the season, which he’s netted in just ten games.
