Earlier today, Rodrigo took to Instagram to post a message urging Leeds supporters to get behind the Under-23 side on Friday 22nd April.
The Leeds prospects take on Manchester City’s Under-23 gems at Elland Road, where supporters have been urged by Rodrigo to attend.
In our view, Jesse Marsch will love to see this.
Rodrigo contributing to improved morale at Leeds
You can tell a lot from a football club judging by the way they treat their Under-23 side.
For some, the gap between Under-23 level and the first-team is chasmic, with many disillusioned youngsters moping around with little chance of an opportunity.
At Leeds, however, the likes of Joe Gelhardt, Stuart McKinstry, Cody Drameh – before his loan to Cardiff – Charlie Cresswell and Crysencio Summerville have been heavily involved in first-team duties, and often train with them at Thorp Arch.

It’s a tight knit group, and with Rodrigo openly calling on everyone to back the Under-23 gems, it’s surely only going to make the squad closer.
Rodrigo has stepped up for Leeds
Since Marsch arrived, Rodrigo has been in superb form.
The £27m man has scored three goals in his last four Premier League games, with some of those strikes proving to be huge.

Rodrigo scored in a 2-1 win over Norwich, as well as in the dramatic 3-2 win over Wolves, helping Leeds turn what would’ve been two points into six.
If the Whites avoid relegation from the Premier League, they have the Spain international to thank for stepping up at a crucial time.
