Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard has said that the players have taken a liking to new manager Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho has a reputation of being able to deliver success pretty swiftly during his time as a manager having won league titles in his first season in charge of Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan – and if not in his first season then usually his second season.

Lingaard told MUTV, as reported by the Manchester United official website: “The sessions are intense and hard work but the manager likes a joke and it’s been great fun so far.
“Everyone has taken a liking to him. He’s a really chilled, easy-going guy and we’re all looking forward to the season. He’s won a lot of trophies and we hope he can help us to win some here.”

It seems that Mourinho has set about trying to get his side to buy quickly into his methods so they can hit the ground running at the start of the season when they travel to the South Coast to take on Bournemouth for their opening Premier League game.
Whenever his Chelsea sides have been successful they have always started the season very quickly and been hard to catch. Judging by Lingaard’s comments, Mourinho is building that bond between himself and the players and developing that trust early on to create a happy but competitive environment for them all.
They will be hoping to reap the rewards of the hard work of pre-season and improve on league finishes from the past few seasons as they will no doubt try to re-establish themselves at the top of the English game.
