West Ham United are still keen on Arsenal target and Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard, according to Sky Sports.
What’s the story?
Sky Sports are reporting that West Ham remain keen on signing Lingard from Premier League rivals United.
The England international spent the second half of last season on loan at the Hammers from the Red Devils.
The 28-year-old, who can also play as a winger, is back in pre-season training with the Red Devils and will hold talks with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his future.
Arsenal interest
West Ham reportedly still fostering hopes of signing Lingard should compel Arsenal to step up their interest.
The Sun reported in April that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is planning a bid for the Englishman in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are reportedly ready to pay Lingard’s salary of £110,000 per week.

Stepping up
Martin Odegaard is not at Arsenal at the moment, and the attacking midfielder may not be back on loan at the Gunners from Real Madrid.
That leaves Emile Smith Rowe as the only senior creative attacking midfielder at Arsenal.
Arsenal need another playmaker in their squad.

Lingard scored nine goals and gave four assists in 16 Premier League matches for the Hammers during the second half of last season.
The 28-year-old showed what he is capable of when he is given a run in the team.
Lingard helped West Ham qualify for the Europa League.
The attacker could help Arsenal finish in the Premier League top four next season.
