At the start of the evening, many questioned whether Liverpool could pull off the comebacks of all comebacks and overturn Barcelona’s three-goal deficit. If truth be told, not many expected it.

Despite being without two of their key attacking talents in Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino, Liverpool produced one of the greatest nights in their illustrious and rich history when they booked their place in the Champions League final by beating Barcelona 4-0. The Spanish club didn’t know what hit them.

From one end of the world to the other, supporters and club legends alike celebrated Divock Origi (2) and substitute Gini Wijnaldum (2) writing their names into the history books.

Following the fightback from Jurgen Klopp’s side, two Anfield legends in Jerzy Dudek and John Barnes celebrated Liverpool’s win in their own way.

Here is a fan on his personal Twitter account posting Dudek singing ‘You’ll never walk alone’ after Liverpool’s win on Polish TV. Added with that, you can also see beIN SPORTS posting Barnes’ reaction to that epic comeback on their official Twitter account:

Former Premier League goalkeeper Dudek will know a thing or two about epic comebacks in Europe. He was part of the Reds team that came from 3-0 down to beat AC Milan on penalties in the Champions League final in 2005. His antics during the spot-kicks will live long in the memory of the Anfield supporters.

It is up for debate whether that night in Istanbul is greater than the comeback against Barca, but whichever one tops the list, it surely goes down as the greatest night in the club’s history.

Following that epic comeback, Klopp’s side will now turn their attention to Premier League matters and hoping Manchester City slip-up on the final day of the season.
